Jebel Sifah Golf Course: Peter Harradine’s Nine-Hole Resort Layout
Jebel Sifah Golf Course brings a compact resort-golf experience to a coastal community south-east of Muscat. The course sits between the Gulf of Oman and the rugged Hajar Mountains, giving golfers a distinctive landscape of sea views, rocky hills and desert vegetation. Its nine-hole format is designed to fit naturally into a resort stay, whether as a full round played twice or a shorter game between other activities.
Course at a glance
Course design and playing character
Designed by Peter Harradine, the course has nine holes and plays to par 36. Golfers can play the loop twice to create an 18-hole round, with several teeing positions providing different distances and angles on the second circuit. The layout uses the natural contours of the site and places the holes within the wider coastal scenery. Its shorter format encourages accuracy and good distance control, while the option to play twice gives regular golfers a more complete test.
Club and practice facilities
The golf facility includes a clubhouse, practice and teaching services, and a pro shop. PGA instruction is available for golfers developing their game, while the surrounding Jebel Sifah destination offers hotels, restaurants, a marina, beaches and outdoor activities. The course is approximately 45 minutes from central Muscat, making it an accessible golf option for resort guests and visitors based in the capital.
