In a remarkable final round on Saturday, May 21st, Adam delivered a stunning performance at the prestigious Northeast Amateur Invitational. Starting the day tied for 18th at +5, he played the lowest round of the day, making the biggest leap on the leaderboard to finish tied for 4th (T4). This stellar finish earned Adam an automatic invitation to next year’s edition of the Northeast Amateur.

From T32 to T4: Adam’s Rise Continues

Fresh off a T32 finish at the Sunehanna Amateur, Adam was invited to the 63rd Northeast Amateur as one of the top amateur golfers in the world. Hosted at the iconic Wannamoisett Country Club, a demanding par-69 course, the event featured elite amateur talent from across the United States, including top-ranked players like Miles Russell and John Daly II.

A Final Round to Remember

The third round of the tournament brought U.S. Open-style conditions, with high winds reaching 70KM per hour, the field average soared to 75.4, but Adam managed a resilient 74, climbing into T18. Then came Saturday’s final round, where Adam put on a masterclass, firing a 4-under 65, including six birdies, he soared up the leaderboard to a T4 finish, one of the best rounds of the week.

Four Days of Elite Golf on a World-Class Course

Making his debut at the Northeast Amateur, Adam faced tough putting conditions at Wannamoisett Country Club where he struggled in the first two rounds, he opened with back-to-back rounds of even-par before braving 70 km/h gusts in round three, despite the difficult weather, his five-over-par 74 outperformed the field average which stood at 75.4 and positioned him for a strong final push, the strong final round secured him a return to the tournament next year.

A Historic Season for the 2024 Arab Golfer of the Year

Adam’s T4 at the Northeast Amateur is the latest milestone in what has been a breakout year. In January, he made history by becoming the first Arab golfer to make the cut at the Dubai Desert Classic. Competing mostly in U.S. college golf, he has already recorded a tournament victory and multiple top finishes. His year reached a high point at the Memorial Tournament, where he was honored with the Jack Nicklaus Award as the top NJCAA golfer of 2024.
