Ayla Golf Club: Greg Norman’s Championship Course in Aqaba
Ayla Golf Club is Jordan’s first 18-hole championship golf course, set within the Ayla Oasis development in Aqaba. Designed by Greg Norman, the course occupies a landscape of rolling fairways, lagoons and wadis, with the surrounding mountains and the Gulf of Aqaba adding to the visual character of the round. Its setting and full practice offer make Ayla a leading golf destination in the southern part of the Kingdom.

Course design and playing experience
The championship course extends across more than 800,000 square metres and plays to par 72 over 7,152 yards. Norman’s design philosophy follows the natural contours of the site, using lakes and wadis as strategic and environmental features. The golf club also has a separate, fully floodlit nine-hole academy course measuring 1,085 yards and playing to par 27. This second layout provides a shorter format for practice, learning and evening play.
Club and practice facilities
The golf academy offers private and group tuition with PGA-qualified professionals. Practice facilities include grass teeing areas, putting greens, short-game areas and indoor swing and putting studios. The clubhouse, designed by Oppenheim Architecture, sits at the heart of the golf destination, while the pro shop provides golf essentials and equipment services.
