LA VIE Country Club: The Reimagined Muscat Hills Golf Course
LA VIE Country Club is the new identity of the former Muscat Hills Golf & Country Club, one of Oman’s best-known golf venues. The course occupies a natural wadi landscape on the edge of Muscat, with the Hajar Mountains and the Sea of Oman visible from different parts of the property. Reintroduced under the LA VIE name in 2026, the club combines the established course with an expanded approach to sport, coaching and lifestyle facilities.
Course at a glance
Course design and playing character
The course has 18 holes and plays to par 72. The original design is associated with architect Paul Thomas, and the published course length is approximately 6,383 metres. Its routing follows the natural folds of the wadi, with rocky outcrops and changes in elevation adding character to the holes. The layout gives players a mix of strategic decisions, including the need to position the ball carefully around the terrain and shape shots in response to the course’s contours.
Club and practice facilities
The club’s current offer includes a golf academy, a Toptracer-enabled practice range and a long illuminated driving range of approximately 400 metres. Troon is associated with the management of the venue, bringing international golf operations and coaching experience to the club. The wider country-club concept adds sports and social facilities around the course, making the property more than a traditional golf club.
