Hacienda Bay Golf Club is a championship golf course on Egypt’s Mediterranean North Coast, within the Hacienda Bay resort development near El Alamein. Course at a glance
Design and playing character
The 18-hole course plays to par 72 and is listed at 6,832 yards from the championship tees. It was designed by John Sanford, whose routing uses the natural desert setting and water features to create strategic choices across the round. The course includes a peninsula green at the 16th, a split fairway at the 17th and a demanding closing hole. To manage water use, the design limits irrigated turf areas and uses paspalum grass, with much of the surrounding ground retained as desert landscape.
Facilities and resort setting
The course forms part of a wider resort community on the North Coast. The golf layout is supported by resort services and visitor accommodation in the surrounding Hacienda Bay development, placing the course within a larger holiday destination rather than an isolated golf facility.
