Golf Les Dunes Agadir: Three Nine-Hole Courses in a Hill and Lake Landscape
Created in 1991, Golf Les Dunes is a 27-hole destination near Agadir, built across rolling ground planted with eucalyptus, broom, tamarisk and palms. Three distinct nine-hole loops—Eucalyptus, Tamaris and Oued—combine to give golfers several ways to shape an 18-hole round.
A mature Agadir course with three distinct loops
The Royal Moroccan Golf Federation describes Golf Les Dunes as a 101-hectare course created in 1991, with hilly terrain, mature planting and four large lakes. Its three nine-hole loops are known as Eucalyptus, Tamaris and Oued.
The design is credited to Cabell B. Robinson. Each loop is a Par 36, but the combinations create different 18-hole rounds depending on the routing selected. The club’s own scorecard pages list the Eucalyptus (Blue) course at 3,124 metres, the Oued (Yellow) course at 3,068 metres and the Tamaris (Red) course at 3,175 metres. Those figures are course-loop lengths, not a single overall 18-hole distance. This is an important distinction when choosing which combination to play and checking the correct scorecard.
Eucalyptus, Tamaris and Oued each have a different rhythm
The three loops allow golfers to experience different hole shapes and landscape features while staying at the same club. The course names reflect the vegetation and character of the property.
Eucalyptus — Blue
The club describes broad fairways edged by eucalyptus trees. It is often presented as a welcoming loop, but its bunkered uphill green on the eighth hole gives the closing stretch a more demanding finish.
Tamaris — Red and Oued — Yellow
Tamaris and Oued offer their own sequences of longer and shorter holes, with the hilly ground and tree planting changing the way each hole plays. Confirm the loop combination when booking so the correct scorecard is used.
Four lakes and three loops create a versatile golf day
The combination of rolling terrain, four lakes and three nine-hole loops is the course’s strongest point of difference. It gives visitors flexibility in the round while keeping the character of an established, tree-lined Agadir golf course.
