Adam Bresnu Wins 2026 Ben Hogan Collegiate to Earn PGA TOUR Opportunity

Moroccan golfer Adam Bresnu delivered a landmark performance at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, winning the 2026 Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational and securing an exemption into the 2027 PGA TOUR Charles Schwab Challenge.

The Texas Tech senior finished the 54-hole event at seven under par, with a total of 203. Rounds of 69, 67 and 67 put Bresnu one stroke clear of Georgia’s JD Culbreth, earning Bresnu his first NCAA Division I individual title.

A composed finish at Colonial

Bresnu closed with a three-under-par 67 on Tuesday. After opening with a birdie on the first hole and dropping a shot on No. 3, he regained momentum with three consecutive birdies on holes 8 through 10. He then made eight straight pars to protect his lead and seal the victory on a demanding Colonial course.

The win brings a significant next step: Bresnu earned an exemption into the 2027 Charles Schwab Challenge, giving him an opportunity to compete in a PGA TOUR event at the same venue where he claimed the collegiate title.

Texas Tech finishes tied for third

Bresnu’s individual success also helped Texas Tech finish tied for third in the 16-team field at 12-over-par 852. Alabama won the team championship at even-par 840, with Auburn second at five over par.

For Bresnu, who represents Morocco and hails from Rabat, the result marks an important milestone in his collegiate career and a chance to carry his momentum onto the professional stage in 2027.
