COURSE STORY

The Championship Course: 18 holes by the water

01 / 03

The Championship Course is an 18-hole Par 71 layout with a current published length of 7,009 yards. Karl Litten designed the original course, which underwent a major redevelopment in 2004 with Thomas Bjørn. Fairways roll between mounds, date palms and water features, while Dubai Creek and a series of lakes influence strategy on several holes.

COURSE STORY

The clubhouse: a dhow sail on Dubai’s skyline

02 / 03

Architect Brian Johnson designed the iconic clubhouse around the lateen sail of a traditional dhow. Its white, angular forms and reflection pool create the impression of a vessel floating beside the Creek. The building has become one of Dubai’s best-known landmarks and is featured on the reverse of the AED 20 banknote.

COURSE STORY

Peter Cowen Academy, mini golf and marina life

03 / 03

The club is home to the Peter Cowen Academy, one of the region’s established golf teaching centres, alongside practice and short-game facilities and a dedicated mini-golf course. The wider destination combines golf with a marina and waterfront dining, giving visitors more to explore before and after their round.
