A Nicklaus Design course in a natural setting
01 / SETTING
Designed by Nicklaus Design and opened in December 2015, Al Zorah is an 18-hole, Par 72 championship course. The club lists two lakes and 88 bunkers. The routing is framed by coastal dunes and an inland mangrove area, while the surrounding water levels shift with the tides.
Tidal water and a changing coastal landscape
02 / COURSE DESIGN
One of Al Zorah’s most distinctive features is the changing water level throughout the day. Tidal channels, mangroves and sandy dunes create a landscape that feels different from a standard inland course. The natural setting is not decorative: it shapes the visual character and strategic feel of the round.
Practice and visitor facilities
03 / EXPERIENCE
The club has a two-tier driving range measuring more than 350 metres and accommodating up to 50 players, alongside practice greens. Golf carts with GPSi and a pro shop add to the visitor facilities. The club’s team helps guests understand the arrangements for their visit.
